Cole is a premier perimeter defender. She has harassed and slowed down top-scoring guards all season. Her job will be to slow down Parker and Riverdale guards from getting out in transition. She did a great job of managing the offensive flow and facilitating this season. If Cole can attack the defense with her passing, she will create open looks for Broomfield shooters.

Cole’s effort on both ends of the ball allows her to dictate the pace alongside her elite ball handling. Her unpredictability makes her a lethal weapon, scoring the ball, confusing defenders, and getting creative on all three levels of the floor. This year, she’s been a nightmare for opponents to go against due to her focus and tenacity guarding on-ball. Communicating through screens and switching when necessary, Cole is consistently dialed in at all times. So far, she’s been able to chalk up just over 8 PPG while leading the Granite Peaks League in assists (4.5 APG).

Kaitlyn Cole Kaitlyn Cole 5'8" | PG/SG Broomfield | 2026 CO brings a combination of lockdown defense and impeccable shot selection to the undefeated Eagles. Sliding her feet quickly on the perimeter, talking through screens, and staying in between passing lanes, Cole takes pride in her methodical defense. With the end of her senior season coming to an end, Cole has an extra motivation to cap off her high school campaign with some hardware. Through distributing the ball (4.4 APG) and locking down her matchup (3.6 SPG), Cole makes sure Broomfield has an edge.

Cole’s performance proved to be a game-changer in Broomfield’s win over Erie on Friday night. In a low-scoring battle, she showed how to impact the game beyond the boxscore. Cole was flying around on defense and hounding Erie’s guards. Her active hands disrupted passing lanes, leading to turnovers and poor decisions from Erie. Cole’s layup to open the fourth quarter gave the Eagles a 12-point cushion and essentially put the game away. She finished with 7 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals for the night. Cole delivered an outstanding all-around effort against a gritty Erie squad.

When Cole has the ball, she’s able to produce a constant flow of scoring from all three levels. With her consistent jumpshot and high poise, any coach would be lucky to have Cole on their team. Broomfield will have a true PG1 this season.

Kaitlyn runs the point guard spot pushing the pace in transition and attacking the rim fearlessly. She has the ability to knock down threes and keep defenses honest. On top of her scoring, she sees the floor extremely well, delivering on-time, on-target passes.
