Expert Analysis
Danyle Bowers | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Kaitlyn, a guard set to suit up for Michigan Prospects , is one of the top shooters to keep an eye on this AAU season. She doesn’t need much room to get her shot off, thanks to a quick, compact release and consistent form that makes her a serious threat from beyond the arc. Comfortable with the ball in her hands, she pairs her scoring ability with confident handling, making her tough to contain. On the defensive side, Kaitlyn competes with energy and focus, staying engaged and looking to make plays. She’s coming off a huge high school performance where she set a school record by knocking down 10 three-pointers and finishing with 30 points in a win over Macomb Dakota. Expect her to carry that same shooting touch and confidence into the AAU circuit this spring, starting with the April Showers event in Ypsilanti.

Kaitlyn is a sharpshooter from South Lyon East who can put games out of reach in a hurry when she’s left open on the perimeter. She demonstrated an understanding of spacing and found openings in the defense. Kaitlyn facilitated the ball well and after sprinting in to secure an offensive rebound, she dished a pass on the money to a cutter for the assist. Kaitlyn shoots with confidence from three-point range and buried a triple in the corner. She makes good reads off the ball and has a quick release off the catch. Kaitlyn had a solid day at the Headliners Invitational and will be a key contributor this season for the Cougars.

Kaitlyn can take over games when she gets open looks from three-point distance. She turned in one of the most exciting single-game performances I’ve ever seen last year at the Swartz Creek Showcase. Kaitlyn sank a jaw-dropping eight triples with six coming in the second quarter. She’s a shooter who handles the ball with confidence and I’m excited to see her compete at the Headliners Invitational on Sunday.

Kaitlyn made her mark this spring with Michigan Vice as a high-level shooter who doesn’t need much space to get her shot off. She has a quick release and a smooth stroke from deep, making her a constant threat from the perimeter. On the defensive end, she brings intensity and effort, staying locked in and committed to making plays. Kaitlyn is set to bring that same impact to South Lyon East this June as she continues to elevate her all-around game.

On Saturday at the Swartz Creek Showcase, Kaitlyn delivered the most exciting quarter of my 2024 high school season coverage. She had the Midas touch from beyond the arc, pouring in 6 triples in the second quarter! Kaitlyn added two more 3’s in the second half to lead all scorers with 24 points and a jaw-dropping 8 triples. The Cougars lost the contest but Kaitlyn made her mark and earned All-Showcase First Team Honors.

Kaitlyn is a shifty guard for Always 100 Michigan Anarchy 2027 who showed promise at the R4TR Championship. She created space with her dribble against defenders to dish passes to open teammates and showed her sharpshooting by knocking down multiple threes from different spots on the court.

Therrian was definitely on a heater with Always 100 Michigan Anarchy . It was just a couple weeks ago that I singled her out for her top notch shooting over a grassroots weekend, and here we are again. A little bit of a hand in the face isn’t enough when covering Therrian. She buried a triples even with hands in her face.
