It seems like Karmin has been playing varsity since Obama was president but she still has another season ahead. Riley has moved up and down since she was playing for Hancock County. This time, she climbs back up to the cusp of the top 20 as she goes from 31st to 21st. Primarily a shooter, Karmin is a good one and has a chance to be one of the top three point shooters in Kentucky next season.

Riley has been a top prospect in this class for several years and is starting to move back up the rankings now that she’s healthy. Karmin is a big time shooter who is comfortable pulling up from 25 feet and beyond and shooting without hesitation. If she gets more aggressive and starts getting to the free throw line more often, she’ll become an even more impressive prospect. I think she can play at the scholarship level.

Karmin has been as high as top 10 in the class over her career but has been victim of unfortunate injuries. Now she starts her climb back to the top, going from 40th to 31st in this update. Riley is a smooth scorer who still has a lot of good basketball ahead of her. Looking for a big Junior season for her.

Karmin has been in our rankings since she was a middle schooler at Hancock County. Her stock has tumbled a little over the last year or so but I think she’s due for a big Junior season. Known for her shooting, Riley is becoming more comfortable as a driver and I expect her to get to the free throw line more often this year than in past seasons. Once she’s there, she can convert a lot of And-1 opportunities.

Riley has always been a standout to me because she has a strong scoring ability but brings so much more than scoring to the floor. For starters, she is a strong defender. She can apply a lot of pressure to ball handlers and she seems to have a fearless attitude on defense. She does a great job of reading where the ball is going to come up with steals. Riley can also handle the ball extremely well. She can break a press using her ball handling skills and floor vision. She makes good passes and isn’t afraid to kick to the open player when help defense steps over. Riley also has elite range on her outside shot. She averaged double figures last season at 10.7 PPG while shooting 37.6% from three and 82.5% from the free throw line.

Riley is a very versatile guard. She can bring the ball down the floor or she can play off of the ball. She can knock down 3’s or she can score in the mid-range or at the rim. She consistently makes plays and she consistently plays hard. Riley finished with 11 points and 4 rebounds, and she was also a big factor on the defensive end of the floor.

Riley has such a smooth game. The first game I watched, her shots weren’t falling and yet, she was still one of the most impressive players on the floor. She was making some great passes and really creating for her teammates. Riley showed off her ball handling skills even while facing heavy pressure. She has really good form on her shot and she can knock them down from deep range even with little space between her and a defender. Riley makes strong drives to the basket, but recognizes help defense and kicks it when they step over.
