Karyelis had a very solid day at Bell’s Best Open Run. She’s quick, shifty with the ball in her hands, and I was impressed by her fearlessness as a driver. She’s not afraid to attack downhill and look to score against the bigs. Karyelis handled the ball confidently in the open court. She split the gap on a speedy drive and switched hands comfortably in traffic to score a contested layup. Karyelis took the ball straight to the rim to score a strong layup and made a great bounce pass entry into the post. She’ll be a playmaker to watch at the high school level.

Karyelis did a little bit of everything to help Team 8 be successful at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase. She penetrated with her dribble and made a great, unselfish extra pass for the dump off assist. Karyelis makes good transfers in traffic and converted multiple catch and finish layups around the basket. Karelis showed her range by swishing a smooth corner three, crashed the glass to secure an offensive rebound, and scored a tough bucket over a long defender in the lane. She’ll be a playmaker to watch in the Pontiac backcourt.

Karyelis has light feet and uses that energy to her advantage defensively. She is all over the court- finds the open seams and plays with no fear taking the rock to the rim! Solid defender!
