A teammate of Draine, Katara has a nice all around offensive skill set. She can shoot it from deep, really deep, as she has hit two three quarter court buzzer beaters this year. She handles the ball like a guard and uses her size to slash and finish around the hoop. For a freshman, her competitive streak is already there, and she is still learning to channel it. With veteran teammates helping guide her, she is turning that energy into production and helping build the program. The ceiling is high, and she already looks comfortable in big moments.

Watson is the future of OPRF and seems to be ready for that now. Yes, things can be sharpened in her skillset, but overall, she has all the major components to build a legit foundation that causes mismatches. Offensively, her confidence carries everything, and with her ability to stretch the floor, or put the ball down and hit the rim stand out as well. As the competition gets stiffer and shes able to play at the same level and or increase.. its not too long till the offers roll in.

Watson has shown her talent from the start of the summer to the end, and going into a season with a program that is stacked from top to bottom, it will be fun to see how she fits in and what role she provides for them. She is a true combo guard but could have a greater impact as a two-guard. Nonetheless, this kid has talent.

Watson has a certain confidence about her that can’t be taught, and you can see it in the way she plays. She believes she’s the best player on the floor at all times and approaches each possession that way. I believe she’ll have some big offensive moments at this event.

Watson seems to be aware of how good she is at her age, but I do not think she fully realizes how high her upside truly is. She already has all the intangibles, and as her skillset continues to sharpen over time, it will match up perfectly.

This kid has something going for her, and the confidence she has is top tier. But she also seems to be very coachable. There was a moment on the bench where her coach was giving her positive and constructive criticism, and she dialed in, listened, and got right back in the game without being upset after a tough conversation. Things like that stick out to me more than stats. A tough prospect that is gearing up for some big moments this summer. The talent is high, and the potential matches it.
