KayKay Strayhorn KayKay Strayhorn 5'8" | CG Dyersburg | 2027 State TN is a high-level perimeter player.

In her junior season, Strayhorn was constantly making multiple 3-pointers per game. In regard to her perimeter jumper, she mainly scores off catch-and-shoot actions. She does an extremely good job of setting her feet up to go into her shot quickly after receiving a pass. She can also hit shots from well behind the arc. One of her best games shooting from distance was against Crockett County High School, where she made five 3-pointers.

Strayhorn is also a big steal threat. Against Tri-Cities Christian Academy, she logged seven steals.

A shifty PG who can change speeds nicely. She can score from all 3 levels, but what impresses me the most about her is her ability to pass the rock in tight windows. She is a gamer and has a solid presence on the floor. She knows when to get hers as well as when to feed the hot hand. She contributes in several categories, leaving her mark on the game in multiple ways. She has been a solid addition to the Dyersburg program, going back-to-back state appearances. Look for her to continue to grow and add even more significant value to the DHS program. This kid is solid, and one coach will need to keep their eye on.

OK KK! She’s been working! I watched Dyersburg vs Bearden (in particular to watch Natalya Hodge Natalya Hodge 5'7" | CG/PG Bearden | 2026 State #74 Nation TN ‘s 31 point game), and Strayhorn really stood out for the defending state champs. She looked confident from three, knocking down multiple deep ones. She has a really nice combination of size and athleticism which allows her to bully ball her way into the paint, and when she gets to her right hand, it’s over. Her right hand floater looked terrific and will be a weapon. She’s got D1 written all over her.
