Mount has been building and prepping for this season for a while now. Trust me when I say that she’s ready. She’s committed to Detroit Mercy so all the recruiting worries and pressure are off the table. The only thing that matches Mount’s intensity is her physical strength near the rim. She really has the chance to dominate off the block on a nightly basis this season. With athletic guards like Maya Anderson on the roster, there will be plenty of opportunities for her.
Bisballe will be starring on a super talented Lake City team that will feature one of the best frontcourts in the state with Bisballe X 2. Alie is a tough cover with her height, length and super strong hands. She secures the ball off a post feed and make a quick and decisive move to the rim. Bisballe is very underrated as a passer as well. She can face the bucket and read and find the action going to the rim. Bisballe will be heading to Wisconsin for her college ball.
Predicting a lot of headlines for Swanson this coming high school season is a lot like predicting that it will snow this winter. It’s going to happen and probably frequently. Swanson is a living and breathing double-double. She has a natural feel and read for the ball off the rim. If someone drops a milk in the lunch line at school, Swanson will probably get it before it hits the ground. In all seriousness though, she has a chance to put up some monster numbers on a very talented team. Swanson definitely has a case to be in the preseason Miss Basketball conversation.
Richards was a center piece to a state championship run last season for Lansing Catholic. In possibly the toughest game of their tournament run against Westfield Prep, Richards was the difference maker. Her ability to stretch the floor from the 4 position was absolutely huge. She shot the ball over top of defenders at hit triples at a very high percentage. If she can match her play from last season, Lansing Catholic has a shot to go back-to-back.
Risdon is a very underrated forward that deserves to be mentioned with the best in her class at her position. She is committed to the University of Vermont. The Catamounts got an absolute steal with Risdon. She’s a very versatile forward that can attack offensively in a variety of ways. Risdon can work facing the rim off the perimeter, can hit a jumper with deep range as well as put her back to the basket on the block and score with touch.
