She has a lot of talent on this roster (including Madison Francis Madison Francis 6'2" | SF Lancaster | 2025 State NY ) and they play true team basketball, she has done an amazing job keeping everyone on that team engaged and contributing when she needs to.  Heckel has that X factor that you want as a lead guard. She has an explosive first step and unlimited confidence to score from all levels on the court.

Heckel is a name that caught the attention of scouts early. The 5’9 Port Chester native competes on the AAU circuit with Exodus EYBL and high school with Long Island Lutheran (LuHi). She is someone that has the skills and creativity to exploit the weakness in her opponents. The right-handed guard possess several qualities that has helped her excel since her first year. Physically, Heckel’s speed and agility gives her an edge during fast breaks. She is also technically gifted – shooting and passing with ease. Her vision is something that isn’t spoken about often. She is intelligent in possession and rarely turns the ball over. Defensively, she is alert and doesn’t take plays off. Her relentless and aggressive style disrupts the flow of her opponents. She averaged 15.9 ppg, 6.3 apg and 3.7 spg with LuHi during the regular season. Heckel is a NYS AA Federation Champion. Her consistency has caught the interest of several Division 1 schools.
