About Kaylynn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Fast but controlled, fearless defensively

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play hard until the whistle blows. I love fast breaks and love to play defense. I am always looking to make opportunities for my teammates and setting them up for open shots.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I also play varsity soccer and track and field. In my spare time, I play the fiddle and sing with a gospel group in my church. I also enjoy crocheting and anything related to art.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I think I am used to being an underdog. I would consider myself a team player. I think a great pass is just as good as making a jump shot and that applies to everything, not just basketball. I like the saying, "a rising tide lifts all the ships." I look forward to being an upperclassmen the next two years and treating the underclassmen with the kindness and respect I wish I had been shown as a fre

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At first glance, it would definitely be my height. I'm just glad my coaches in youth league taught me how to box out. It doesnt matter how tall you are if youre not willing to fight and jump for rebounds.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to feel like I am part of a family. I am interested in nursing or a related field. I have not yet begun the process of visiting campuses, but I think a close-knit school would be best for me. Being near home would also be a huge plus.
