About Kendall
Expert Analysis

For my money, Dawkins is the most physical player in the state. From the opening tip, she is all gas and no brakes. She loves to back her defender down and go to her near-unstoppable dropstep move, and she can finish over either shoulder with touch. She is also one of the state’s best rebounders. The thing about Tualatin, though, is that everyone does a little bit of everything. Dawkins is often asked to play face-up, catch and shoot, handle the ball and find open teammates. The Timberwolves defense hasn’t lost a step after graduating last year’s interior anchor Jordyn Smith, and that is due in large part to Dawkins’s ability to set the tone.

is smart, strong, and athletic on both ends of the court. The 6-foot forward/guard attacks the rim on the dribble or the off-ball cut, hits the catch-and-shoot three, and battles for rebounds. She can finish through contact and dish or kickout for the assist. She has a quick first step and is a tough defender. Dawkins averaged 10.4 points, 6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.6 steals per game and was named to the Three Rivers League First Team her freshman year. She was a top-five rebounder at the 6A state tournament and helped win the state title for the Timberwolves.

is a power forward who can finish through contact and the foul with physical drives to the basket for the strong reverse layup and hit catch-and-shoot threes when they are needed most. Dawkins can sell the fake on the perimeter to burst by her defender, taking the baseline. She can cut in the paint to receive the ball in the lane for a bucket. She fights for rebounds on both sides of the court. Dawkins is athletic, able to save the loose ball before it goes out of bounds and finish from awkward angles under the basket. The freshman isn’t a natural point guard, but she was able to find a way to run things for Tualatin and lead them to defeat eighth-ranked Benson in the Platinum bracket Championship at the POA Holiday Classic. Dawkins is a physical defender, getting a hand on the inside pass or the dribble in the paint. Dawkins averaged 12.3 points and 5 rebounds in three games at the tournament.

is a 6’0 wing who can score inside and out and can match up with just about anyone on the court with her size and strength. Her combination of guard skills with her size are tough to find, and she will only continue to get better over the next four years in an excellent Tualatin program. She already has several D1 offers including from University of San Francisco and St. Mary’s College.
