Deese is a player who did it all for an excellent Kell team. She was surrounded by very talented teammates and impacted the game in a lot of ways, not just scoring the ball. Deese is long and very athletic with excellent anticipatory skills- somethingshe shows blocking shots both on the ball and coming from the help side on defense to elevating above everyone else and snatching boards with her long wingspan. Deese can definitely score, something she does off both feet and using both hands around the basket. Her ability to cut to the basket without the ball and slash with it make her a mismatch problem for other bigs who lack the foot speed to keep up with her. She plays with great body control weaving her way around defenders to avoid contact at the rim. I think Kennedy has huge upside and will be an excellent player in college where she will attend and play at Howard University. With her size and skill, I would don’t be surprised to see her end her college career playing in a Power Four conference.

The Howard-signee racked up stats against Jones County with 10 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 blocks. Slender and skillful at the forward position, Deese used eurosteps to evade defenders as she strode to the rim. Her length really impacted Jones County with her ability to challenge shots and gobble up rebounds. Deese found herself guarding

Kennedy set the tone early with a big block in the opening game which immediately made her presence felt in South Florida. She brings a long frame and showed offensive touch with a nice spin move in the paint, consistently getting to her left hand and using her length to finish. She also delivered big, clutch buckets late in games, and defensively used her active hands and length at the top of the press to create deflections and steals that swung momentum.

Long-armed swingman is at her best around the rim. Great rebounder. Uses her length to collect boards. Wiry frame, but Deese does well finishing through contact with both hands. Spaces the floor with the ability to create off the dribble and knock down the open three. Has long strides that get her to the rim quickly. Game-wrecker on defense with switchability.

Kell revolved around Deese upon moving from Mt. Paran. At 6-foot with an outstanding wingspan, Kennedy can wreck games on both ends of the floor. She scores from all three levels and is an effective offensive rebounder. Defensively, she covers a ton of ground and guards equally well inside and out.

Kennedy is a long and active forward. Watching her at the event you would not guess that she was one of the youngest players in attendance. She does well pushing in transition after grabbing boards. Her development will be interesting to watch as her ball-handling continues to improve. She has all the intangibles to be a swiss army knife on the floor.

Deese is an exciting player to watch. Her ability to take over a game is unmatched. A player that can score from anywhere and guard all 5 positions. She played at a whole different level on Saturday. What impressed me more was she was called upon to bring the ball up the floor, distribute the ball and score for her team. A player that barely came out the game but bought a high motor on offense and defense. Her length allows her to see the whole floor and score inside/out. A fun player to watch. Excited to see what she can do at the high school level.
