Gustafson has a big high school season last year and could grab a lot of eyes on her game at The Expo. She’s an influential player on both ends of the floor. Gustafson has good lateral defensive movement which makes her a solid help defender in the paint. Offensively she can score with power as well as hit a jumper from outside.

Gustafson is coming off a terrific high school season and I’m willing to bet she carries that momentum into grassroots season. She did a nice job of defining her game over the past year and being able to utilize her strengths to her advantage. Gustafson has a unique blend of power and touch that can be very hard to find. I think we’ll see her make a special play and have a special game on her way to “One Shining Moment.”

Gustafson is having an OUTSTANDING season and that continued in their win against Black River. She showed her power in the post and ability to slide over from the weak side and help on D in the paint. Gustafson scored with ease with her back to the basket and off put back opportunities when she did work on the offensive glass. She had multiple steals and deflections due to her ability to read passes and react. Gustafson proved to be an excellent passer as well. She had a really nice kick out pass from the paint to an open shooter and showed that she could face the rim and pass from the perimeter.

The returning All State selection is a beast in the post. She gobbles up rebounds and throws pinpoint outlet passes to start the break. She holds the ball high on her moves and uses her body to create space well. She converts at a high rate on her post moves.
