Wilson’s Battery Creek team has been competing as a 3A school since 2016-17. Her banner 2021-22 included recording her first career triple-double in a Dolphins victory over Academic Magnet. She has also participated in track and field events throughout her career and has previously ran on the grassroots circuit with H2 Lowco 16U. She is a defensive stalwart and one element of her game is her ability to grab rebounds. Wilson can put crooked numbers on the board and is a consistent threat to steal the ball. She plays primarily at either one of the two guard spots on the floor. The Dolphins qualified last season for the 3A tournament.

Wilson’s Dolphins have experienced mixed results ever since Battery Creek moved up from 2A to 3A. Wilson herself has found success as a basketball player alongside competing in track and field. Wilson can score in a variety of ways – either via the 3-pointer, from the midrange or by penetrating to the basket. She also plays the game with an understanding that contact will be drawn and free throws will be made. Wilson is willing to fall to the floor if it means competing a play and is as gifted as a ball distributor as she is as a scorer. If she comes up with a steal on defense, it is an extra possession – and possible points in transition.
