ended her high school career on a high note, leading Betsy Layne with 12.2 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. She played a key role in anchoring a team that captured the 58th District Championship for the first time in 14 years. Martin also surpassed the 1,000-point milestone, leaving a lasting mark on the program for years to come. (Featured Image)

Kinleigh was dominant in the rebounding department, creating a ton of second-chance opportunities and pulling down seven boards in the first half alone. She used her size well to establish deep post position and made the most of her touches in the paint. Despite getting into early foul trouble, she still put together a highly productive outing, finishing with 10 points and 9 rebounds. (Featured Image)

One of the few true “bigs” of the event, Martin showed that she can establish herself on the low block and is a capable low post scorer. Kinleigh has the opportunity to be a big time rebounder when she goes after every missed shot and doesn’t wait for them to come to her. Long term, I think Kinleigh is worth some college looks thanks to her size and ability.

One of the best kept secrets in the mountains, Martin averaged 11 points and 8 rebounds per game last season and should be averaging a double-double as a Senior. A consistent low post threat who also showed she can step out and shoot, Kinleigh has the potential to break out in a big way this season for Betsy Layne.

Kinleigh is a 6’0 post player with good size and skill. She has impeccable footwork, can finish around the rim at a high percentage, and does a good job gaining ideal position rebounds. She turned heads in July playing for Arctic Rush 2026 and picked up her first college offer from Midway University.

In a win over Wolfe County on Wednesday of this week, Martin had a huge double-double, scoring 31 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. She went 13-for-16 (81.2%) from the field in the victory. Beyond this performance, Martin has been a big part of Betsy Lane’s 4-2 start. She is averaging 13.7 PPG and 5.3 RPG while shooting a team-best field goal percentage (60.7%). Martin is only a sophomore and she’s off to an excellent start in her sophomore season. I’d expect many other double-doubles in her future.
