Johnson has gone from a slasher who could score from the wing and around the basket to dropping the midrange while being defended. She’s “long and athletic,” which is the base, and she stands just under “the magic number.” Another advantage she has is her ability to elevate over defenders to score. Her defense, court vision, as well as shot blocking all looked good

Johnson has been “THAT GIRL” since her freshman season, and since she was “long and athletic” which is still and always will be the base, she definitely had me on alert yet over the years, she’s found ways to have defenders on alert because she elevates with ease on her jumper to score from outside as well as around the basket. Her defense, both in and outside the paint, looked good, as did her court vision

Johnson is closing out her career at North Shore, showing she has the potential to change the momentum and take over games from either end. She’s long and athletic, which is the base, and watching her score around the basket, elevating over the defender was nice, but her elevation didn’t stop there as the midrange looked good. She rebounded, scored off the dribble, and played the passing lane

Johnson is “long and athletic” and her upside is still high which is a huge plus for the next level. She can look spectacular effortlessly and watching her timing to block shots coming from out of nowhere to go “coast to coast” and score had me smiling. She also scores in the set, off the dribble or the midrange ad her defense also stood out, along with her rebounding

Johnson has come into her own and shows her versatility and ability to change the momentum from either end. She’s “long and athletic” which is the base and watching her not only rebound on both ends but throw length-of-the-court touchdowns for assists was nice, as was her scoring off the dribble and around the basket

Johnson has turned several corners moving up to #35 from #44 and her maturity, aka “on the court” progression stood out. She falls into the “doesn’t know how good she is” group yet watching her understanding how to take games over was very nice for me because I already know what’s there. I expect another huge jump after her Peggy Whitley Classic performance see evaluations here

Johnson has always been a player I knew who possessed the “IT” factor and sitting next to one of my former players and her day, who I coached with, and hearing her say “Who is #11” had me smiling but “real knows real”, right. Being “long and athletic” which has always been the base was nice yet she’s “thinking the game” and recognizing mismatches to score off the dribble as well as drop the jumper. Her improved court vision along with solid defense, both in and outside the paint

Go to player that has ability to play 2-4 positions. Johnson is a catalyst to the offense as she works the high post and forces the defense to collapse which opens up the perimeter for her teammates. On a defensive board, she can push the ball in transition and setup her teammates. Consistent free throw shooter as she forces the defense to foul her when she out muscles them in the paint.

Johnson will be dangerous in July if this is how she’s playing in April. She has so much upside to her game: height, strength and court vision. She is a very powerful player, and it’s obvious she has the ability to dominate. I saw her use really forceful takes to get to the basket. She bangs in the paint to get rebounds for her team. She did a nice job of using her athleticism to find the ball and block shots and not foul.

Johnson is “long and athletic” and her midrange continues to get better every time I catch up with her. She elevates on her jumper, this makes it tough for defenders to contain her, especially since she scores off the dribble with ease. She also did a good job hitting the boards and playing the passing lane but her timing to block shots had me smiling
