Edge has good speed and attacks the rim with craftiness and purpose. She knows how to get to the free throw linea nd put points on the board. The guard can also put the ball in the rim from the three-point line. Edge has been consistent since day 1. This past season, Edge averaged close to 9 points per game and was a playmaker with 4 assists per game. Defensively, she presses up on the ball handler and can set up steals in the passing lane. She was named First Team All-Dade County, which comes as no surprise for a player who has long been a staple in the 2027 class.

Defense is always critical in the state finals, and Kori brings it every game. Her ability to pressure the ball, speed teams up, and create turnovers can change the pace quickly. If she uses her speed and instincts consistently, opponents could be in for a long weekend in Jacksonville. She used her speed and quickness to shred pressure, attacking the press and making the right reads—highlighted by a drive-and-kick to Casey O’Connell Casey O’Connell 6'0" | PF Miami Country Day | 2026 State FL in the corner for three. She turned on the jets in transition, repeatedly blowing past defenders, pulling way and finishing with ease (all on a 94 foot court). Speed wasn’t the only common thread to carry over – new year, same bag. Edge knocked down a corner three off an inbound, drew fouls attacking downhill, and was a terror defensively with deflections and steals. Her ability to accelerate, pressure the ball, and get to the rim consistently made her one of the most impactful guards on the floor.

Edge let the game come to her and didn’t force the issue. She handled the ball well, handled pressure and made good decisions on the floor. The junior guard also impacted the game on the defensive end, securing 3 steals, and creating steals for others with her defensive pressure on the ball.

Despite her speed, she maintains incredible control, rarely losing her dribble or getting stripped. She can stop as quickly as she accelerates, and her stop and go move is faster than most defenders’ reaction time. Combine that with her ability to score from all over the floor, and she becomes nearly impossible to slow down. These skills have already earned her Division I attention and offers, and as just a junior, this could be her best season yet.

She can score at all levels of the floor and constantly puts pressure on a defense with her ability to get to the rim. Her mid-range game is very good as she uses her speed to keep defenses on their heels. She can stop and pop on a dime. On the defensive end, Edge is quick and can cut drives off. In transition, she is crafty with her finishes and uses the transition game to impact the outcome.

Kori is undoubtedly one of the best defenders and point guards in her class, so it’s no surprise to see her move up a couple spots in the rankings. Her relentless motor makes her a threat on every possession, and she’s shown improved efficiency from the mid-range as well as from deep. Kori is so quick, distributes it with wit, and can elevate quickly for a steal or a bucket. She holds new offers from Chicago State and Texas A&M Corpus Christi to go along with Siena and UNF.

Kori is one of the first players that comes to mind in the entire state when I think of the word “Dynamo”. She’s speedy, energetic, positive and can change the momentum of a game in an instant. A team starts with a point guard, and she’s the one guarding that person and making their life miserable for the length of the court. In Lakeland, she had 2.5 steals per game for a MCDS team that allowed only 72 total points in two games!
