Kristen was one of the top players offensively in GA at the Triumph Region Finals. She knocked down a few corner 3’s and was hitting it from long range when I saw her play. Her ability to get to the rim and then rise above the defender made her one of the most lethal scorers. KJ was so strong getting downhill and did a great job of protecting the ball through traffic.

Kristen is a powerful guard that does a great job getting to the rim. When she gets a head full of steam to the basket, she is hard to stop! She has an extremely quick first step, and she explodes to the rim faster than most! She drove and made the game winning shot with 12 seconds on the clock against a tough ETA 17U squad! Johnson’s time in the weight room is definitely paying off. Some kids have that “dawg” in them, and Kristen is one of those players!

Kristen’s athleticism sets her apart from any other player in her classification. She is very explosive and finishes around the rim very well. Kristen’s quickness makes it hard for anyone to stay in front of her. One thing I enjoyed about Kristen’s game is how she easily she can draw a foul and get to the line. Kristen shot a solid 8/9 from the line in their win against Hartselle and she finished with ten points total.
