Like Rodgers, Thornsbury has also already committed to play at a Division-I program after her senior year. She’s got so much talent, but one thing that always stands out about her game is her toughness. You will not find many high school players that are tougher than her. She can finish hard shots and she can take a ton of contact in the process. Thornsbury is also a solid and versatile defender. She can really guard any position well. She’s a strong rebounder and can do a ton offensively as well. On top of being able to score at all 3 levels, she is also a willing and impressive passer.

Thornsbury is the definition of a 2-way player. She makes as much happen defensively as she does offensively and that’s saying a lot in itself because she is such a solid offensive threat. She can beat you in so many ways. Thornsbury is a strong outside shooter, but she can knock down shots from anywhere on the floor. She can also get into the paint or to the rim where she finishes well with contact and in crafty ways. Thornsbury brings a ton of defensive intensity and is constantly disrupting the opposing team’s offense.

Thornsbury is as tough as they come. She never backs down and can battle with anyone. She’s also got a high IQ and she can make so much happen on or off of the ball. She’s the kind of player that can not score a point, but still highly affects the game. However, she can score at all 3 levels, so scoring 0 points in a game is beyond rare. In fact, Thornsbury averaged 11.3 ppg and 3.7 rpg as a sophomore. Her shooting percentages were also very impressive as she shot 47.8% overall and 37.7% from deep.

Thornsbury is one of the toughest players that you can watch play in Kentucky. Her fundamentals are strong and she can fill up a stat sheet with her ability to impact all parts of the game. Defensively, she makes things extremely tough on the offense. Thornsbury’s a really good on-ball defender, but she can also get out into the passing lanes and she’s smart in help defense situations. Offensively, she has good handles and isn’t afraid of physicality in the slightest. She can get into the paint at will and she can score in a variety of ways around the basket. However, Thornsbury can also knock down shots from anywhere on the floor and was nearly a 40% shooter from 3 last season. She’s an excellent passer with a high basketball IQ as well and she should have a huge junior season with Pikeville this year.
