Debated putting Whited in this particular article because her shooting was just one of the many areas of her game that stood out over the weekend. She’s really an excellent playmaker who can score the ball in many ways. Terrific ball handler. Can handle pressure and double teams really well. Sees the floor and makes good passes. Always looking to create by driving the gaps and/or drawing help defense. Can score at all 3 levels and has a great outside shot.

I feel like I’ve viewed Kristen as a top performer at every Top 250 camp I’ve been to but she continues to impress me year after year. Whited is tough and a nice shooter who can also put the ball on the floor and score. She is small but Kristen plays through contact and has shown a small mean streak on more than one occasion.

Whited was one of the better defenders I saw on Saturday. She’s got a lot of speed and quickness, and she makes things extremely difficult on opposing teams’ ball handlers. Whited came up with quite a few steals and deflections. She also showed off her strong handles. She was taking care of the ball, locating teammates, and throwing some really good passes.

It has been since last January since I saw Whited play and she appears to have moved her game to a higher level since then. She was already a good spot up shooter. Now she is handling the ball like a point guard, quickly slashing to the basket from the wings for layups. She made a fade away layup to get over a shot blocker after a blow by drive from the corner. And she of course knocked down some an open three from the wing.
If this is how Whited is going to play all season look out world. She has stepped up her game.
