About Kyleigh

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Kyleigh is a 5’5 CG class of 2030. She plays for AEBL and Lake Forest middle school. She is a versatileplayer who can adjust to any level of competition. Known for elite court vision, strong basketball IQ, and the ability to create plays and knock down shots against any defense. Focused, competitive, and always ready to elevate the game. 🏀

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a focused and competitive mentality, and I’m always willing to work hard to improve. As a point guard who plays both basketball and volleyball, I stay calm under pressure, communicate well, and try to lift up my teammates. I’m determined, coachable, and always looking for ways to get better and help my team succeed. I love to win!!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As an 8th grader at Lake Forest, playing basketball and volleyball has helped me build leadership and teamwork skills. As a point guard, I’ve learned to communicate, make quick decisions, and support my teammates. Sports have also taught me responsibility and how to stay positive and work well with others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have faced challenges, especially in sports. One of the biggest was going through a shooting slump in basketball. It was frustrating, but I stayed focused by putting in extra practice, listening to my coaches, and keeping a positive mindset. Over time, I worked my way out of it, which taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of continuing to trust my trainings when they are tough.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will be the most beneficial for my growth both academically and athletically. I want a program with a coach who will challenge me, support my development, and help me become the best player and person I can be.
