Olson has been gradually raising her game ever since we saw her play for the first time two summers ago. Things were no different at Sunday’s PGH Expo, where Kylie was a standout performer all day long. Standing at 6’0 with a large, well-muscled frame, the NRHEG junior is a dominant presence in the paint. Olson’s post moves and sheer strength were no match for most defenders on Sunday. Kylie also displayed some versatility at the Expo, excelling in the pick-and-roll, and knocking down open shots from beyond the arc. With an endless work ethic, and the insatiable desire to keep improving, Olson’s trajectory is only up from here.

+15 – The big post from Southern Minnesota was one of our more interesting discoveries of 2024, thanks to a tip from club director Pierre Ellis of Minnesota Nice . Pierre knows a little something about post players having had Kansas State’s Ayoka Lee. Olson is big, strong and mobile and plays with a motor. She also has soft hands and the ability to finish in traffic. After entering the rankings in June, Olson rises 15 positions to #46.

I loved watching Olson just move her opponents out of the way with her strong base when she was in the paint. She played with physicality and patience to carve out space in the lane for easy buckets. Olson does the work early in the paint to establish position whether it’s for a bucket or a block-out. She has soft hands and is a very good interior passer. Olson played herself into major varsity minutes last season at NRHEG and looks to be a key cog in the wheel this upcoming year.
