Ranked 2A, 1A prospects to see at the State Tournament

With the conclusion of the Minnesota State High School League section tournaments over the weekend, 32 teams from across the state have officially punched their ticket to the State Tournament this week. Games for each of the four classes will take place at Williams Arena and Maturi Pavilion at the University of Minnesota beginning this Wednesday, March 11th at 10 a.m.    One of the most common questions we get asked at this time of year – from college coaches and fans alike – is this: "Who are the players to watch?" This is where the Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings come in handy. In Class 2A there are 35 ranked prospects participating. In Class 1A, there are about 22 across the 2026 to 2031 classes. Keep in mind that we haven't actually ranked the 2030s and 2031s yet but it's kind of hard to ignore uber-talented players like elite 8th graders [player_tooltip player_id='1124545' first='Amelia' last='Truty'] at Rochester Lourdes and standout [player_tooltip player_id='1110548' first='Elin' last='Retzlaff'] at Hillcrest Lutheran.   Since most of you are already familiar with the top performers, this year we decided to give you all of the names of ranked prospects. On Monday we covered the 3A and 4A prospects.
