Wearbon has made the transition over from Mauldin HS to Southside HS. Lauren can really get after it and create her own offense. Lauren will score the ball from all 3 levels at times. She could drop the floater one second later she is knocking down perimeter jumpers from 3-point range. She’s geared to score the ball from the backcourt.
Wearbon is currently averaging 13.1 ppg, 5.4 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 5.1 steals for the Lady Tigers.

Lauren comes over from nearby Mauldin HS to play for the Lady Tigers this season. Wearbon feels comfortable playing both guard spots in the backcourt. She can split the defenders getting ball to the rack to score or drop a dime off to open teammate. Lauren has the ability to score the ball from 3 levels on the floor.

Wearbon was one of the many standouts throughout the Palmetto State. She will be wearing similar colors as she goes from one team that wears orange (and brown) in 5A Mauldin to one that wears orange and black (in the 3A Tigers). She can establish herself as one who can set an offense and is gifted as a ball distributor and ball handler. Wearbon throws defenses off balance when she attacks the basket as someone who will either drive to the rim or dish it out to an open teammate. The Tigers appear to have many of the tools necessary to make more noise in what will be a drastically different 3A landscape this season.
