Sharing the floor with Justice Brown-Jones is another major reason the Catholic High School Crusaders enter the season with championship aspirations.
An impact scorer and natural playmaker. Loritts brings a level of efficiency and versatility that makes her invaluable to Catholic’s success. While she may not always dominate the box score through sheer volume, what stands out most is her ability to maximize opportunities. Every basket feels timely. Every possession feels purposeful.
Loritts understands how to impact winning.Whether attacking gaps in the defense, making the extra pass, cleaning the glass, or creating offense within the flow of the game. Loritts consistently fills the stat sheet in ways that often go unnoticed until the final buzzer sounds. A skill that makes complete players dangerous.
If the Crusaders are going to finish what they started last season, Loritts will play a massive role in determining just how far this group can go.

It would be easy to rest on the laurels of being the No. 1 ranked Class of 2028 player in Virginia. It would be easy to blend into the success of a talented Catholic roster. However, players like Loritts don’t reach that level by choosing the easy path.
Loritts is a worker plain and simple!
Possessing the ability to impact the game in every aspect, through scoring, playmaking, rebounding, and relentless defensive effort. Her motor rarely slows. Loritts never takes a possession off. While consistently putting herself in position to elevate her team when it matters most.
That impact was on full display against Norfolk Christian. In a hard-fought 77–70 victory for Catholic, Loritts delivered a decisive 14-point second half performance. Taking over down the stretch and proving once again why she is considered one of the elite players in the state.

displayed her complete game, drilling a deep three from the left elbow, protecting the rim with multiple blocks, and finishing in transition (against the defender) with a smooth left hand. The Virginia No. 1 prospect in the 2028 class played with poise, creativity, and control, scoring at all three levels while impacting the game defensively. Watching Loritts go head-to-head with Pinnock (the Florida No. 1 prospect in the 2028 class) was a treat—two sophomores with Power Five offers competing possession by possession. Everything was there but the popcorn. Loritts came to the event already an elite, polished prospect. She validated her status and then some (and she’s only a Sophomore).

She has a college ready body right now. She showed off a sweet jumper from behind the three-point line and has tremendous court vision. She threw some excellent outlet passes at the EYG clinic.

Seeing Lauryn gliding in the air down the baseline for the finish let you know that their is something special their even if you had no ideal who she was. She is athletically gifted and plays a step quicker than the other players around her. She was effective from long range knocking down three pointer after three pointer. I was curious to see how she kept getting open, which I found out was a combination of movement without the ball and defenders respecting the blow by.

Lauryn left the game against Bishop Ireton early with an injury, but what stands out to me when watching her is the different ways she’s used offensively. Lauryn is a great example of someone who is elite off the ball without being a volume three-point shooter. Catholic runs plays for her as a cutter, and she does an excellent job at it. She can get her own on an iso with her size and athleticism. She has a nice mid-range she can get to as well.
