Though her senior season was cut short due to injury, never have I seen someone help instill confidence in a program like she did. It wasn’t like Goodpasture had all these 6 footers walking around on campus. She, along with a core of teammates, resurrected a program and brought faith. When she was on the court, it was like all her team operated on one accord. She brought the energy, instilled confidence, and just got after it by scoring, making timely assists, and locking up on defense. When she gets back healthy, just know she will be a problem once again.

This kid has come on strong ever since last season and hasn’t looked back since. Her confidence is oozing out as she approaches every contest as if it was her last. This hungry individual plays with a motor and she competes until there is nothing level. She will shoot it from the arc at a high clip, get down hill to finish or kick out for a 3 ball, and contribute on the defensive end by getting steals. I love her ability to push the ball in the open floor, getting to favorable spots that lead to successful possessions. This kid is nice. Any college coach looking for a ballplayer needs to look no further.

True leader on the floor who has and is often overlooked. She is a monster and her game continues to evolve. This kid is phenomenal in the open floor, knocking down open shot opportunities or getting to the rim. She is a pest on the defensive end, creating havoc 94ft. Her time is coming and when it does, someone will be getting a steal in this prospect.

This young lady is a heady floor general who plays with poise. She knows when to attack, scans the floor, and exploits her opponent’s weakness. Plays with pace and space, and can knock down shots from all three levels. A tough competitor, she is going to battle on both ends of the floor. Last year was her coming out party, leading her team to a three overtime loss in the state championship game. Look for her to take her ballclub back to the big dance this upcoming year.

Dynamic ball player who is super tough to handle. A heady floor general who has tight handles, sensational court vision, and creates off the bounce. Can score it from multiple levels on the floor, but has an innate ability to find the hot hand, delivering the ball in a timely manner. She is a dawg on the defensive end. Getting steals and deflections, leading to transitional buckets. Just like her teammates, she has some unfinished business to attend to and she is on a mission. Look for her to have an outstanding senior season as her stock continues to rise. Goals, accomplishments, and college opportunities will be just a few things that will all be checked off this upcoming season for this young lady.

I first watching Hawkins in last season state tournament….and she.was.awesome. Her offensive game is simply mature and polished. The lefty is only 5’6, but when she’s in the paint she’s able to get off shots others simply cannot with a combination of high-level footwork, timing, instincts, and head fakes. Her ability to stop and start with the ball in her hands is very high level. Her hesitations and changes in direction college ready. She can score on all three levels. And her vision, and ability to make others better, is very good. One of the absolute best PG’s in TN.

I really got my first good look at this PG in the state championship game, and she put on a show. She was hitting 3’s, getting to the rack, finishing with either hand, had her float game going, and making beautiful passes. Some teams are greater than the sum of their parts, and that’s how I felt watching Goodpasture: Hawkins simply makes this teams 10-20% than they should be based purely on talent. Her infectious energy to play the right way makes them go!

was sensational, and the best player on the floor. The ’25 played all 32 minutes, and made winning plays on both ends. All game long, she was wreaking havoc on the paint, and getting to the rim. She finished with 19 points on 8-14 shooting from two, and 3-4 from the free throw line. She also had 4 rebounds and 3 assists. She controlled the game from start to finish, and she’s as shifty as the come….simply using stops and starts to avoid getting rattled. With 2:00 minutes left and up 7, GP put the ball in Hawkins hands to dribble out the clock. With 1:15 she called game with a left to right cross over through the elbow, fakes a pass to get the help defender away from the rim and finishes a tough layup to put them up 9. She’s averaged 13 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds on the season.
