throughout the course of the event his weekend from beyond the arc. The tall and long lefty has a very smooth shooting stroke that requires little time or space to get it off her hands and released toward the goal. Leah does an outstanding job moving without the basketball while always ready and in position to catch and shoot at a moments notice. She made more three point field goals then any player I saw playing 17U and when defenders close out hard, Leah gave a head fake and took 1-2 dribbles to get to the elbow and knocked down shots from the midrange. Bryan also did a very good job finishing inside on a couple quick-flick passes from

around the basket. Leah has the size and shooting ability right now to be a very good division two player, however with continued skill development off the dribble she could easily see herself being recruited by multiple division one schools as well.

Leah proved again that she will punish teams that leave her open on the perimeter. She has continued to improve the other aspects of her game and the growth is very evident. Right now, though her biggest strength and strongest skill is her ability to stretch the defense with her shotmaking ability. Her team has some very good penetrating guards who force the defense to help and when they do she consistently buries long-range shots with her pure, left-handed stroke. Leah has very good size and length for the position which helps her get her shot off over smaller defenders. Continued improvement driving the ball to the basket and making plays off the dribble will determine what level she will play in college.

Some players, whether by coincidence or luck, have some of their best performances when I happen to be at certain games evaluating the teams playing.

had more than one of those this season while I was watching her and her very talented North Forsyth teammates. She kept North Forsyth in the game for a quarter in Gainesville when they played Westlake earlier in the season, making multiple shots from deep when her team couldn’t score otherwise. In the region championship game Leah showed her knockdown shooting ability from three, but also attacked the basket and got to the midrange more than I had seen her do before. She is a good defender who competes and plays with a high IQ on top of being one of the best shooters in the state.

Bryan drew the toughest assignment of the night guarding Morris who is/was averaging over 25 points per game and can get 40 points or more on any given night. Bryan did a good job staying with Morris a lot of the game and was in position to defend her but Morris makes shots only a few kids in Georgia in any class can. Offensively, Bryan impressed scoring from inside the three point line. Leah is a very good shooter from three, but in this game she showed there is more in her offensive arsenal that that. On a very nice play she drove the ball and scored on a nice finger roll lay-up after a very confident shot fake and drive from the elbow.

Bryan made a lot of hustle plays and did a lot of little things that stood out in a positive way. She was very active on defense, sprinting out to the perimeter to block one three point shot out of bounds. On another play she left the perimeter to help on Brunswick’s post, dug down and tied the possession up causing a jump ball. Bryan stole the ball on another play and drove it the length of the court before being fouled. On offense Bryan used a nice shot fake from three point range, drove to the lane, and finished off the glass with her left hand while being fouled.

stepped up to provide scoring on the perimeter. The lefty stretched the floor throughout the week. She drained threes off the catch and hit a few off the dribble as well. Bryan got downhill for an And-1 finish, posting a team-high 10 points and 5 rebounds against St. Francis.

Skilled lefty with a composed scoring approach. Bryan is a strong shooter from deep, especially from the corners, and uses ball fakes and jab steps to create space. She mixes in floaters and mid-range pull-ups, giving her a full scoring package.

Bryan is a team player that does all the little things to help her team compete. A player that can score at any given moment but loves to get everyone involved. Her length allows her to shoot over most defenders.

Bryan is part of the 20-point club as she is a pure scorer from all levels. A player that just knows how to do all the little things and work to get her shot off. Her range starts when she steps on the floor and has a quick release which makes it hard to defend her shot. Top Performer in every game over the weekend.
