Sophomore Lilea Burns Lilea Burns CG West Salem | 2028 OR led all scorers with 28 points for West Salem in a narrow loss to Nelson on Tuesday. Burns has come off the bench and shown glimpses of brilliance since her freshman year. This week, the wing earned a starting spot for the Lady Titans against the Hawks, and she performed. Burns got downhill with speed on the bounce and was an exciting finisher at the rim. She connected from three-point range. She ran the floor and made heads-up passes. She played help-side defense, hunted passing lanes, and scored in transition. Burns will play an important role for West Salem as they compete against a formidable South Salem rival for the Central Valley Conference title.
