Lindy, a freshman guard for South Christian, found ways to make an impression during Week 2 of the MBA Fall League despite playing on a roster loaded with talent. Her quickness immediately showed up, and she was especially effective getting out in transition. Lindy ran the floor hard on multiple possessions, putting herself in the right spots to receive the ball and convert opportunities at the basket. She also showed that she can provide a perimeter threat, knocking down shots from behind the arc when given space. On the defensive end, Lindy competed well and used her quickness to stay with opposing guards and make things difficult. Earning attention as a freshman on a talented South Christian team isn’t easy, but Lindy found ways to do it with her shooting, speed, transition play, and defense. She is another young guard I’ll be keeping an eye on as she continues to develop.

Lindy had to leave before the 5v5 portion of the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase, but she gave me plenty to take away from her play during 3v3. The shifty guard handled the ball well and showed the ability to get downhill and create for her teammates. Defensively, her quick hands caused problems as she came away with multiple steals. Her speed also showed up on the glass, where she tracked down offensive rebounds and created extra possessions. Lindy brought a nice combination of quickness, playmaking, and defensive activity during the 3v3 action.

Lindy isn’t going to be nervous when she steps onto the court at the PGH Freshman Showcase on Saturday. She’s a Headliners Invitational alum who’s used to competing against top talent under the spotlight. Lindy lit it up at GVSU Elite Camp. She has college range and a smooth stroke that makes defenders pay when they give her space. Lindy is fluid with her crossovers, balanced, sees the floor, delivers passes on a rope, and has a second gear when she takes it to the hole. Lindy will be a dynamic guard to watch.

Lindy put her outside efficiency on full display during the GVSU Elite Camp, torching the nets from beyond the arc. A deep straightaway three, slot three, corner three, a calm and collected three off a crossover dribble at the top of the key: she was dialed in from downtown. Lindy demonstrated shifty quickness, advanced ball-handling variety and control, and the ability to get past defenders then finish in contested situations. She raced up the floor with pace in transition, went up strong, then scored through contact for an and-one layup. Lindy used a pocket dribble to get her defender off balance, then drove by to score another contested layup in traffic. She’s a dynamic point guard that I’m expecting to stand out again at our Freshman Showcase.

The time has finally arrived for Lindy to make a splash at the high school level. South Christian had a phenomenal team last year, and they’re adding an elite talent to their backcourt. Lindy has the ball on a string, deep three-point range, and X-ray court vision. Fundamental development, quickness, IQ on both sides of the ball, and a commitment to developing her craft, expect to see Lindy making an immediate impact on the court.

Lindy has the ball on a string, and she was an impactful two-way player for Dream Loudly EYCL 14U Blackwell during the game I watched. She caught a pass in the mid-corner, almost out of the picture, where most would be advised not to shoot. Lindy collected her footing, saw that the defender was anticipating a drive, and pulled up confidently to swish the open trey from well beyond the college line. Her harassing ball-pressure and quick feet started in the back court and continued up the floor. She turned ball-handlers and forced them to pass under duress, working at maximum effort.

I was thrilled to see Lindy back at the Headliners Invitational. She had the opportunity to compete against the high school prospects and seized the moment. Lindy’s advanced ball-handling control and deadly accuracy from three-point range were separators throughout the day. She showed off her athleticism by blocking shots on defense. Lindy facilitated the offense as an effective court general and will be an elite guard prospect in her class. She earned All-Showcase Second Team honors.

Lindy was a standout performer for Team Sparks, impressing everyone with her poise and skill despite being just an eighth grader competing in the high school division. She showcased advanced ball-handling ability and strong court vision, consistently finding open teammates and creating scoring opportunities. Lindy scored effectively off the dribble, knocked down multiple shots from beyond the arc, and even made her presence felt defensively with a couple of key blocks. Her confidence, versatility, and maturity on the floor make her a name to watch in the coming years.

Lindy is playing up against the high schoolers and I have full confidence that she’ll fit right in. Lindy was one of the top middle schoolers during our first Headliners Invitational in 2023 and I am excited to have her back for round two! She has outstanding ball-handling control and forces turnovers with her pressure. Lindy can change directions on a dime, then bury smooth pull-up jumpers. She’ll be a playmaker to watch this Sunday.
