We had a chance to see Logan Vogt Logan Vogt 6'1" | SF Waukee NW | 2027 State IA up close at the State Tournament to end the season and she was looking like a veteran out there on the hardwood. To my understanding this is a future D1 Volleyball player but her athletic ability combined with her height make her a threat while competing in any sport in reality. Vogt was an avid playmaker this Winter for her Junior season. She made big plays defensively each game with her ability to defend multiple positions and she always usually had a hand on getting others open on the offensive end as well. She might not be the most skilled but she is very coordinated and intelligent when it comes to in-game strategy. In this Update Vogt moves into the Top 10 once again. She might not be playing basketball at the next level in the near future but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t if she wanted too.

Logan Vogt Logan Vogt 6'1" | SF Waukee NW | 2027 State IA of Waukee NW High School was a standout as a Freshman on the Varsity floor last Winter because of her mixture of height, athletic ability, coordination, and touch out on the hardwood. This Winter, she is going to have to show everyone watching some of the skill-side of the game if she wants to keep on her current pace. Over the past year, it’s been easy to tell that Vogt is a collegiate athlete but the question is in what sport. Basketball or Volleyball. From the looks of it from a distance, Vogt is a gamer on the Volleyball court, as much if not more than the Basketball court. Either way, her athletic ability and coordination is going to carry her with positive stats throughout her high school career in both, as long as she stays locked in at the season at hand.

Coming in at #5 is Logan Vogt Logan Vogt 6'1" | SF Waukee NW | 2027 State IA of Waukee NW High School. As of right now, Vogt is one of the most athletic, consistent, and naturally talented prospects that the state of Iowa has to offer out of any Class. She stands at 6’0-6’1, she seems to float when she jumps in the air near the hoop, and she knows how to use her size to her advantage in almost all situations that may take place on the floor. She is a multi-sport athlete so that’s always interesting how that will play out along with this. She seems to excel on the Volleyball court as well so at the end of the day, it’ll be in exciting to see what she tries to go to college for. Either way, I have a feeling there is going to be programs out there for both sports that will have interest. So she will have to figure out what she wants and work from there.

Starting off in this Top 5 for the second Update in a row is Logan Vogt Logan Vogt 6'1" | SF Waukee NW | 2027 State IA of Waukee Northwest at #5. Vogt is a talented prospect, that has great size and agility. When a player is standing at 6’1 and moves like Vogt does, it usually screams that they are going to be a Division-1/High-end D2 player at the end of the day but that’s only if they progress with their age and in this case, I think we are seeing that occur right before our eyes. She is going to have an important summer in-front of her but it seems like she is up for the challenge. Her Freshman season was an impressive one with Waukee NW but she still has a long way to go, like any recruit at this age. She has some raw tendencies that she will have to work on but everyone does. If she continues to work hard and produce like she did this winter, it’s going to be hard not to move her up this list eventually.

Starting us off at the #5 spot in this Update is an individual that has demonstrated a high ceiling throughout her first 12 games on the varsity floor this winter for Waukee Northwest and that is Logan Vogt Logan Vogt 6'1" | SF Waukee NW | 2027 State IA . Vogt is a competitor in every aspect of the word. She is only 15 years old and she already stands at 6’1 with a physical guard skill-set. Offensively, she has displayed the ability to put the ball on the floor and attack her opponent off the dribble, getting all the way to the rim on a consistent basis. If she happens to get cut off or stopped by her defender, she has the ability to pull up for a jump-shot from almost anywhere on the court. Either way, no matter how she is trying to score, the attempt always looks clean, fundamental, and on target. Defensively, with her reach she can stick with smaller opponents or switch onto someone larger in the post if need be. Usually causing some havoc or chaos. To begin her Freshman year, Vogt has averaged some decent numbers but nothing that is going to shock you. Looking toward her future, when you consider that she is tall, athletic, coordinated, physical, already producing at the varsity level, and that she understands the sport from a strategically level. You can imagine what she could become.
