Kelli Kalb is one of the states most complete prospects. She has great size at 6'0, she is a knockdown shooter from deep, she can handle, defend, rebound, and she competes with a calculated head on her shoulders. Kalb holds a handful of D1 offers at this time from all around and I don't expect those offers to slow down anytime soon. More should be coming this June and July. From there, who knows how many programs might step up to make an offer once that June 1st restriction is lifted for the 2028 Class. As long as she just keeps doing what she is doing, she is going to be just fine in the grand scheme of things but it is always good to note that the prospect is continuing to hold their own as they get older.

I can't wait to watch Ava Smid at the college level in the near future. She is so good as a SF at 5'10. She makes everything look so easy and she possesses that "it" factor that all coaches dream about. We saw that factor last season first hand at the Iowa State Girls Bball Tourney in DSM, when she went viral on social media for scoring 6 points in about 15 seconds. This AAU season Smid has been doing her thing, carrying that momentum from the Winter season with her so far as we move into Summer. As long as she continues to play within her own ability as we move into the rest of AAU season, she should be gaining interest from D1 programs all over the Country until she ends up committing.

Every single time a college coach texts me about Ella Subbert, it's usually along the lines about how good she is or that she is SO good. Doesn't matter what level that coach is from. It's the same thing over and over, which isn't a bad thing in any way. Subbert is a 6'1 SF with guard like abilities. She can spread the floor and her advantage with her size is noteworthy against the average competitor. This past Winter Subbert was one of the best 2028's throughout the state of Iowa as a whole. She played both ends of the ball to a T and made the most of all of her opportunities at the end of the day. I'm not exactly sure where she will end up but she is going to have several options come June. Once coaches can contact that Class first, it's going to be a whirlwind for hoopers like Subbert so she better strap in as that date is approaches us this week.

That's right. Jhaliana Guy, the former Stanford commit, is now uncommitted as she reopened her recruitment this evening via social media. This doesn't come as much of a shock with the recent news about Stanford's WBB team and the environment some of their players have come forth about, making this a very interesting situation overall. Guy instantly becomes one of the top recruits out of the 2028 Class in the Country. She held over 25 P4 offers moving into high school prior to commitment and I can't wait to see who throws their hat in the ring now to follow this news.

If you have been around the game at all lately in Iowa then you know Logan Vogt is probably one of those individuals that could play D1 in Basketball or Volleyball, if she wanted too. To my understanding her main sport is Volleyball, so that's where she will most likely end up and that makes sense if you have ever seen her compete on the hardwood. Vogt is one of the most athletic players that I have scouted over my last five years within this State. She stands at a true 6'1/6'2 and she could probably dunk a Basketball if she tried. Not only that. She is really skilled. She has a soft touch on the ball, she rebounds hard while going over most around her (literally), she can defend every position on the court, and she knows how to be a leader by example. When you combined that all together, you get someone who is going to be able to produce at a high rate at the D1 level in the future. Now it's just figuring out where and in which sport.
