Lola did an excellent job maintaining control in a very chaotic and close game between WV Thunder UAA 16U (NC) and Brandon Clay’s Southeast All Stars 16U team. In a high-paced, high-scoring affair that saw her team come back down by 12 points with less than two minutes left in the game to tie and eventually win in dramatic fashion. Lola ran the offense, got her playmakers the ball in position to score, and did not turn the ball over or get selfish and take unnecessary, forced shots. She got the calls from the bench, got her team into the set, and executed the play to perfect most of the time. Her connection with Cox and English is special and they connected high number of times throughout the game for scores. She was cool under pressure and under the gun. I have seen her play about five times now, all in big time games against very good opponents, and her demeanor rarely changes. She doesn’t get too high or too, I bet her heart rate doesn’t even change. She is a very cool customer under pressure but is also extremely skilled and plays the game with a very high IQ. Lola did not need to score this game, but that is something she can do with no problem at all. She is an excellent shooter from the perimeter and has elite ball handling that allows her to get down hill and around defenders guarding her pulling up for a midrange jumper or finishing at the rim. She is the kind of player every coach wants on their team.

Lola Vanore Lola Vanore 5'8" | PG/CG Grace Christian-Sanford | 2028 NC was making some nice passes from the top of the key hitting her post teammates in stride for their points.  She does well knowing how to hit her teammates in the open lane.  She was hitting the full court pass easily on fast breaks.  She showed off her shooting ability, too, knocking down her shot from deep making it count off the pass.  She jumped in front of passing lanes, too, taking these steals the other direction for solo fast breaks.

Lola plays the game with a maturity beyond her years and nerves of steel. In matchups against teams like nationally ranked Montverde and Georgia powerhouse Holy Innocents, Vanore never flinched. She stayed cool, calm, and collected against future division players that were three years older than her. She really has the ball on the string and directed the Grace Christian offense like an experienced veteran. Lola shot the ball really well all tournament long proving that she was a threat to score herself.

Solid all around guard who can do a little bit of everything well. Lola has a high motor and is extremely competitive on both ends of the court. Defensively, she is aggressive and athletics enough to get up on the ball handlers to make them uncomfortable. She is an unselfish player that does a great job of moving the ball and getting her teammates involved. She can help carry the scoring load when necessary. A fun and dynamic guard to watch.

Lola Vanore Lola Vanore 5'8" | PG/CG Grace Christian-Sanford | 2028 NC is already an excellent floor general knowing how to direct her teammates where to go.  She moves well shifting the defense and attacking the gaps as she finds way to get the pass to her teammates.  She uses her ball handling to create some space for her open shot, and her ball fakes are sure to get her opponents off their feet.  She battles on defense being an effective on ball defender creating problems for the other team.

Vanore is fantastic athlete. She is bouncy, she is quick, and she has an awesome feel for the game. Vanore uses fakes and multiple moves to create space for her jump shot. When Vanore has the basketball in her hands, she can score from anywhere on the court. She can also drop a perfect past to a teammate in transition or the half-court offense. This season, Vanore is scoring nearly 20 points per game and passing for nearly 5 assists.

She is unselfish with the basketball. She is a willing passer and will create to set her teammates up. Vanore can also score in the paint or from the foul line for Team KMA.
