Howard is a player with great size and length which allows her to shoot over most defenders. Her quick release and ability to relocate is what helps her to get her shots off. A player that can catch and shoot but also rise up and shoot off the dribble. One of the purest jump shots and 3 balls I have seen in a long time.

Howard can flat out shoot the basketball. Moves well without the ball and has a quick release from behind the arc. When you take away her 3 ball, showed her ability to get to the rim and finish.

I really like what I saw from Howard. She’s a bigger guard that can attack the rim, distribute, takes pride in her defense, and impacts winning on the boards. Her Thursday games where: Game 1- 5 points/5 rebounds, Game 2- 6 points/4 rebounds

would start for 95% of the teams in the state. She happens to play at Bradley Central however….where things are much different than basically anywhere else. I love that she takes pride in her role, and doesn’t seem affected by “starting.”

is developing an all-around game right before our eyes. She’s always been a lights out defender, and a terrific finisher. But, not being a consistent shooter will allow defense to sag…which negates opportunities to penetrate. She shot 43%!! this weekend from 3. If she can keep those shooting numbers up, she’s a bonafide college level guard.

is the real deal. I’m willing to bet she’d start on 95% of the teams in the state…but she plays for Bradley Central University and playing time is HARD to find. I thought she really showed out as a winning PG this weekend. Her team is loaded with talent, and she knows her job–get others open, collapse the D, bring energy defensively, and simply impact winning. And that’s what she did all weekend. Another kid that is seemingly always in the right place at the right time, and just wants to win. She could be a 10 point a game scorer if she forced it…but instead she just wants to win. I thought she was impressive.

is devastating out in transition, and in a track meet like Central wants to play, Howard was perfectly suited for it. She got multiple easy buckets out in transition in the press break, had multiple deflections leading to transition oppurtunities. She did a great job making things happen in her role.
