Lucy was a beast for Great Lakes Grind 17U at the PGH MI College Tour, putting up near double-doubles in every game. She made great adjustments to catch difficult entry passes, finished strong off two feet, grabbed two offensive rebounds on the same possession, and worked hard throughout the games. Lucy caused the defense to put her on the free-throw line with her effort in the paint and knocked down two straight from the charity stripe.

Lucy, competing with Team Shock at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, made her presence felt as a post player with strong fundamentals and physical play in the paint. During 3v3 action, she battled consistently to establish position inside, showing determination and toughness against defenders. Her footwork stood out during drill work, where she displayed balance and technique around the basket. In 5v5 play, she continued to be effective—using her strength to finish around the rim and even stepping out for a solid drive from the wing. Throughout it all, her polished footwork and ability to operate in close made her a reliable interior presence.

Lucy was a breakout prospect on the travel scene last summer with Great Lakes Grind . She followed that up with an outstanding junior season for Buckley and received recognition as a PGH Junior Player of the Year. Lucy’s length, athleticism, skillful finishing in the paint, strong rebounding, defensive impact, and versatility will make her one of the top 2027 prospects on the court. Coming from a small school, this might be the first time many college coaches see Lucy play. I expect them to see the potential she has to be an impact player at the college level on Sunday at the Headliners Invitational Showcase.

.” After leading the team to a District Championship, earning First Team All-Conference and All-Region Dream Team honors as a sophomore, Lucy took her game to an even higher level for the Bears this season. She averaged 13.7 points (54% FG%), 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game for Buckley, leading the team to an 18-4 record and a share of the Northwest Conference title. Coach Millarch stated, “One of the best aspects of Lucy’s game is that she typically plays her best basketball against our best competition. Most notably were our 2 wins against 10th-ranked Frankfort.” Lucy poured in 21 points during their first meeting, then 29 points (15/16 FT), 18 rebounds, and five assists in the second game. She scored 24 points with 15 rebounds in a 52-38 win at Traverse City St. Francis. Coach Millarch mentioned, “Lucy is unselfish and has a team-first mentality. The defensive attention she has garnered has forced her to develop her passing game, and she distributes the ball effectively. Lucy will play hurt, Lucy will play sick, and she has not found her ceiling yet as she continues to develop her midrange and outside game; however, defensively and with her back to the basket, Lucy is already a force to be reckoned with.”

Lucy had a breakout tournament at the Cagers Invitational with Great Lakes Grind 16U. Her 6-foot frame, robust strength, and high-flying athleticism set her apart. Lucy bullied defenders inside, pinning them with strong seals to score around the basket. She muscled her way into position to secure several offensive rebounds and finished the put backs. Lucy worked hard to make a difference on the defensive end, which caused many turnovers. Lucy has the potential to become a highly sought after prospect as she develops her skills as a wing/guard. She was an All-Area Dream Team selection for Buckley as a sophomore and could be in store for an even better junior campaign.

Lucy put herself on our radar with a strong tournament at the Cagers Invitational last year, and she returned with Great Lakes Grind to grab everyone’s attention this year. Lucy’s imposing physical stature and athleticism immediately separate her from the pack. She’s a 6-foot combo forward with height, strength, and versatility that gives her a high ceiling as a college prospect. Lucy was an offensive rebounding and put-back machine. She applied immense pressure on defense, which resulted in many steals and finished several layups off two feet with touch around the basket. Lucy sealed her defender with a strong stance, used a drop step, and powered through contact to score off two feet. Lucy is a dedicated teammate and passionate about the game. She drove three hours home for prom on Saturday and then back to finish the tournament on Sunday.
