Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I love to bring energy to the game with my defense by blocking people and getting stops. I am a hustler, you will always see me diving and going after a loose ball. I elevate my teammates, and give out lots of assists and high fives 😁. I love to shoot the ball. I can do a little bit of everything including power post moves, shooting the midrange and threes, driving to the basket and free throws.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a hard worker. I am constantly trying to improve my game. When there is something I need to work on, I will practice it until I am confident at it. I am continually practicing outside my house for hours, working on the details of my game (even during the rain, sleet, snow, and the dark). I am always encouraging and uplifting my teammates. I am very coachable.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have had a 4.0 GPA all through junior high, and was the Student of the Day in 7th grade. In 6th grade, I received the Hope of America and the District Art award. I have enjoyed being part of my school's Book Club.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Basketball has helped me develop leadership skills, specifically being more vocal in a positive way. I am naturally a positive but shy person, so basketball is helping me to be more loud. I am definitely not shy on the court :). I come from a family who loves to serve other people. I put others first, both in life and in basketball. I love to pass the ball to the open player closer to the basket.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I haven't faced very many life challenges, but I am a perfectionist on and off the court, and it can be draining. I am working on pursuing excellence instead of perfection in all that I do.
What type of college are you looking for?
I love basketball and I want to continue playing in college. My top school has always been BYU, but I am open to any school in any state that has a great culture and program that will help me to get better in basketball and in life.
