Expert Analysis

Macey is a stud. She was arguably Jamestown’s best player last season as an 8th grader and was even better this year as a freshmen. She was selected as an All-WDA player and deservedly so. College coaches will immediately look and see that Macey is a college-level athlete with great height and length at 5’9. She is quick and speedy up the court and has an excellent first step. Her shooting ability really stands out amongst this 2029 class. She made 57 three-pointers on 41% shooting. It’s scary to think what those numbers will look like when she is a senior.

Neumiller played extensive minutes last season as an 8th grader and is having another terrific season as a freshman this year. She is the Blue Jays leading scorer at 12 points per game. Opponents lock onto her and try to take her away as the primary offensive threat. She is an excellent three-point shooter, shooting the ball at 40% from behind the arc. She has a quick release and gets her feet set up nicely on passes. She is another young player and could be longer and taller next season, which would make her an even scarier opponent to play against.

The Blue Jays have a ton of returning players who contributed last season and Macey might be the best of the group. She was their leading scorer last season and I anticipate that being the case again this season. She has a ton of potential as a guard and isn’t afraid to shoot it from deep. Her three-point percentages will increase as she matures throughout high school. She is a nice player and a nice college prospect.

Macey has all of the tools to be a problem in the WDA for the next four years. She had an excellent 8th grade campaign. She led the Blue Jays in scoring at 10.6 points per game and netted 38 three pointers. She has a really nice looking shot and her percentages will improve as she grows stronger. She has an athletic frame and has a really good change of speed and pace. I predict Macey will be a multi-year All-Conference player.
