About Mackenzie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I give 110% effort. I am a versitile player who can play the 2 all the way down to a post. I strive to be a good teammate who motivates those around me and puts in the work.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am mentally tough with a growth mindset. I know that there's always more to learn and ways to grow. I want to build my teammates up and count on them to do the same for me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

*member of National Junior Honor Society *participate in M14 basketball training *member of Westfield High School lacrosse team *parisioner at St. Maria Goretti church

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As I've grown, school, sports, and church have taught me how to be respectful and disciplined. I've learned to be respectful, kind, and hardworking. I know that it is important to be a good teammate and a leader through both my actions and words.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A few years ago, my brother had a brain hemmorhage that caused him to live in a hospital for six weeks. My parents were in and out of our house with him during that time, and this whole experience taught me so much. It taught me the meaning of family and how important it is to rely on each other. It also reminded me that we should never take things for granted.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to find a college that will provide me with the opportunity to play and be a good teammate while growing in my academic and future career goals.

Mackenzie drove the length of the court to score a tough, contested layup in top gear. She caught a pass clean and tacked on the finish.
