Kylie is another Freshman who stood out Friday. She has a solid to strong, athletic frame, and she does a nice job of using her body to gain positioning when attacking the basket, boxing out, and defensively when she has to take on bigger forwards/posts. At the same time, she possesses a really nice skillset that she has worked hard to assemble. She can shoot it consistently from all three levels, she can put it on the floor and glide to the basket, plus she can use her length and athleticism to defend multiple positions equally well. I’d look for her to play a much bigger role at Westfield next year.

This kid is a great communicator when she is on the floor and is able to produce with quick hands and feet. Can fight through a pick and she’s always playing on a really high level. She caught my attention a lot during her time on the court. Became one of my favs the way she supports her teammates!!!

. Over the weekend, Wyatt made her presence felt with her high-level communication and relentless defensive effort. She excelled at fighting through ball screens, using her quick feet and active hands to disrupt opposing offenses. What makes her especially effective is the energy she brings every possession. On top of her defensive ability, Wyatt showed she can knock down shots, particularly from the corners, making her a valuable two-way player for the Shamrocks.

At the Showcase, Kylie acted mostly as a point guard on Team 1. Her teammates often sought to pass Kylie the ball when met with tough defense, proving that she is able to regain a smooth possession and set back up into a more calculated formation. Kylie is strong at hitting corner shots, so she always made a large effort to be open in those difficult areas, which most girls avoided taking. Even during pre-game drills, Kylie often took lead, and made sure to make meaningful play during her time at the Showcase.

Every weekend there is a player who steps up who I’ve never seen, whether it be because they are from a remote location, maybe they are younger, or another reason, and Monday that was Kylie. She showed a well-rounded game. She has nice length, she’s a solid North/South athlete, and she showed the ability to knock down a rhythm jumper from the perimeter and put it on the deck one to two dribbles and get somewhere productively.
