She’s good at finding open teammates and attacking the rim. She has good spatial awareness, she never looked lost out there and made great moves with and without the ball. Her passing ability is what sets her apart from other guards, there isn’t a pass she can’t make. Maddie is also the all-time leading scorer for Trinity with 2,000+ points.

is a confident shooter with a really nice shot that she can get off from anywhere. Smith is not gun shy and will make defenders pay if they don’t get out. She is a really good playmaker largely due to her ability to get by defenders who are rightfully concerned about her shot. Smith has good size for the position, and will be someone to keep an eye on as we head into the spring/summer season.

Smith is shooter who will pull up from anywhere if a defender does not put their hands up. Knowing some players will close out uncontrolled she will work to get downhill and kick it out. It will be nice to watch her downhill game develop this summer. Earning all tournament team accolades as a sophomore she will be one to watch on the AAU circuit.
