It’s been a few years since Waterloo West High School has had to worry about who is going to be their starting PG for the upcoming season but that’s the situation they are in this Summer and I think the individual that is going to end up being their starting PG is Madelyn Wass. From everything we have seen Wass is the definition of pass-first at the 1 spot. She likes to set up others off the dribble and she is always willing to give the extra pass on rotation when those opportunities present themselves. That is who you want as your starting PG. Someone willing to leave it all on the floor for the sack of the team and that’s why I think Wass is a great fit to take over at their first option. She has a tight handle, she can handle the pressure by opposing defenses, and she does all those intangibles things you love to hear about like defending and rebounding. I’m not sure what the pieces around Wass look like right now but she is ready to have a Winter to remember.
