Several Guards are going to be asked to step up this winter at Waterloo West with the opportunity they will have available. One of those guards, who could make her mark in a big way before graduation is CG – Taraji Moore. This entire group has some ballers and Moore could be a steady player who produces for them over the next twelve months. Moore has a steady handle, some killer instincts, and she understands the X’s and O’s at a better than average rate for her age level. She also isn’t afraid to defend, rebound, or get physical in anyway with the matchup across from her. All in all, Waterloo West should surprise some this Winter if they just take it one game at a time.

One thing is certain when playing at Waterloo West – you will be coached up. Prep Girls Hoops saw that during an in-person scouting opportunity of Moore when the Wahawks visited Iowa City High in late January. The junior contributed in multiple areas as she had all season. Fundamentally sound with athleticism, Moore can guard multiple positions, score, assist and rebound. Potential exists for raising her numbers in all the statistical categories. She should receive a chance at doing that next winter following graduation losses after this season.
