About Harper

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I impact both ends of the floor through scoring, rebounding, blocking shots and relentless defense. I can play defense at every position. I love to run the floor and play the game at a fast pace.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Hard work and positivity are the best two words to describe me. I am constantly working on my game and believe that there is always something to learn. I gain my confidence by doing the work and knowing I’m out working others around me

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in a number of organizations through my school Mercy academy. Big sister/Little sister Federation of Mercy Athletes

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am always a fantastic teammate and have learned to work with all different types of personalities. My positivity and hard work has made me an impactful leader and I excel at bridging the gap between coaches and players.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My father was forced out of my daily life at 5 years old and now lives in another country. This has brought challenges with being in a single parent household but mostly it’s brought challenges when having to explain why this happened. It has made me resilient and I allow lots of things to bounce off my back.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m open to a variety of colleges at this point in terms of locations and sizes. Specifically for basketball I want a program that will allow me to grow in my skill on the court and as a person off the court.

Harper is an electric and high energy player who brings excitement every time she steps on the floor. She has the ability to grab a rebound and go coast to coast, immediately putting pressure on the defense, while also showing great awareness with quick outlet passes. Harper can knock down shots from the perimeter, but her mid range game is especially consistent and controlled. She competes on every possession, communicates well, and plays unselfish basketball. Harper’s energy and competitive drive helped elevate her team all weekend.
