Johnson has stood out to us for multiple years now, primarily due to her size, strength, and significant versatility. The 5’11 guard seems to have added even more to her bag this summer, showcasing a well-developed outside shot all throughout the Sophomore ID camp. Through her constant movement away from the ball, Brooke had no problems finding open looks on the perimeter. Catching the ball and immediately getting into her shooting motion, the St. Michael-Albertville sophomore has a smooth, high-arcing, left-handed release that needs very little time or space to get off. In addition to her three-point prowess, Johnson also brought consistent energy on the defensive end and fought hard on the boards.

The St. Michael-Albertville freshman gradually carved out a role for herself on the varsity roster this season. Thanks to her versatility and willingness to get her hands dirty, Johnson was able to fill in gaps for the Knights. With a 5’11 stature and plenty of strength, Brooke crashed the boards, stretched the floor, and knocked down shots from beyond the arc this winter. She’s certainly a player who can make an impact for STMA next year. In the meantime, though, Johnson will suit up for the Minnesota Stars top 2029 squad in the AAU season.

Johnson is a versatile forward/guard with size, strength, and skill. Although she started slowly on Sunday morning, her potential became clear as the day went on. Brooke ran the floor, finished at the rim, and stretched defenses with her outside shot. Johnson showed that she can handle the ball, rebound, and adapt to varsity competition with STMA, where we’re told she has more than held her own in summer ball. The biggest thing that will move Brooke up the Knights’ pecking order is to be more aggressive at all times. She certainly has size and skill to make herself a highly valuable piece.
