Makena is committed to Amherst College and brings value on both ends of the floor. She’s a confident catch-and-shoot threat from three who moves well without the ball to find open space, while also making the extra pass when the defense closes out. Her high motor shows up on the glass, as a driver to the basket, and as a shot blocker protecting the rim.

Bailey has a confident stroke and has no problems spotting up, on the move or off the dribble. She’s expanded her game over time as she started applying pressure to the defense by getting to the rim handedly. Bailey is now ranked #42 in the class overall and has a big year ahead of her at Worcester.

Bailey was a large contributor to Worcester’s championship run this school season. The size in combination with her long-range shooting capabilities make her such a striking prospect. This is a player that’s lights out from deep, one that teammates constantly look for out on the wing. Defenders run in full pursuit when Bailey catches heat. She even has the ability to put the ball on the deck to get to a menacing sidestep move that can create even more separation from those attempting to closeout. If Bailey sees a lane though, shell take it. The 6’1 long frame of hers helps her finish from various angled layups. Not only that, but she’s also shown the aptitude to flourish in transition too. Makena is such a helpful player to have on the floor in any lineup.

She also knows how to play well with other star talents around her, not only that, but Bailey can be productive with such forceful lineups on the floor. She’s been a trusted outlet for the title winning squad all year long. Some of the best talents in the region were relying on her to knock down jumpers from dribble penetration or even secondary transitions. What will get the attention of coaches this Spring is her long-range capabilities though. She’s fresh off a NEPSAC championship and when thinking of wings with bright futures in the class, Mackena is certainly a name to bring up.
