Malea Masingale Malea Masingale 5'10" | SF McMinn Central | 2027 State TN and her McMinn Central team also only played one game in the state tournament. But even with the short time she was on the floor, her talent as a player was clear.
Masingale, against Loretto in the first round, had three steals. Her ability to act as a perimeter defender at nearly 6’0″ makes her a high-level steal threat.
Masingale also has a dynamic offensive game. She can create off the dribble and is more than capable of taking games over with her scoring from beyond the perimeter or just by attacking the basket.

Malea Masingale Malea Masingale 5'10" | SF McMinn Central | 2027 State TN is a highly skilled defender who knows how to play the game.
She has a lot of versatility on the defensive end of the court. Her height allows her to guard bigs, while her speed and effort allow her to guard smaller and shifty guards.
On the offensive side of things, the senior is a great shooter from behind the perimeter. Her jumper has great rhythm to it; it never looks like she is going to miss when she lets one fly. Also, Masingale can drive inside, with a good handle for her height, and has no issue playing and scoring through contact.
Her ceiling for what player she can be in her senior season is crazy high. At her current rank of 37, she still has the capacity to climb even higher.

Malea put up a big time first game performance. The TN Lady Grit team could not miss, and Masingale was one of them! She was on fire from the floor. She shot 5-8 from the field, and 75% from three! She was 100% from the foul line. She has one of the purest shots. When she shoots, it looks like every shot is going in. She finished game one with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. She finished game 2 with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. This one has all of the tools to be great!

All-around contributor who can score the ball from multiple levels on the floor. She is a gamer, and she does all the things for her club. Shoots at a high clip, rebounds, cuts with a purpose, makes the right reads, and gets after it on defense. She is just solid all the way around. Though this is only her sophomore year, she has taken the next steps as being the next up-and-coming player for her squad. She has been to the big dance, seen the success, and now it’s her turn to step up and lead. Look for her to continue to rise and be the next big-time hooper from this lethal McMinn Central program.

Masingale, Malea: getter of buckets.
Masingale put together a really good summer, and is beginning to show big-time flashes as a big wing. She’s a legit three level scorer that can do a bit of everything. Is a tremendous shooter of the catch, and has great footwork to go along with a lighting quick trigger. Is a sneaky good athlete, and is quicker than you realize. When she gets down hill (in transition or half court) she’s really learning how to become a finisher with her unique combination of size and skill. Could be poised for a huge sophomore campaign.
