Marlee Hill Marlee Hill 5'9" | SF/CG Burlington | 2031 IA is one of the most promising 2031 prospects that the state of Iowa has to offer. She is the most athletic player out of this Class so far and that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Right now Hill is that CG/SF, that can move between the 3 and 4 position. Her feel for the game combined with her athletic ability and balanced coordination makes her a tough guard for any individual matchup to stick in front of. There were a number of times that Hill crashed the boards on both sides of the ball, bringing in the rebound over 3 and 4 people in-between the blocks. It didn’t matter if someone was trying to box her out or not. She was too athletic to handle and that was apparent at this event almost right away. My biggest advice for Hill moving into this Winter season is to become as efficient as possible within 7FT of the hoop. If she can do that, become a monster under the rim and then build things out from ther to the outside, she could have a the chance to compete at the D1 level some day.

I could see that because she is bigger than most her age and she has ample coordination when the rock is in her possession. She can bully through anyone else that is smaller and she doesn’t care if she has to work out of the Post or Mid-post to make that happen. She is so athletic and she has such a good feel for the game that at the Varsity level this Winter she should one of Burlington’s main weapons on both sides of the floor. Her athletic ability is second to none. The type of ability where she might be the most athletic player throughout the 2031 Class if she keeps progressing as she gets older. Today we saw her dominate her competition at all three levels when she was attaching. She read situations extremely well and that helped her standout a majority of the time. If I had to pick a starting five from today, Hill is in that group.
