If you were paying really close to attention, Rylie Hunter Rylie Hunter 5'7" | SG/PG Cedar Falls | 2031 IA of Cedar Falls High School and Lady Martin Bros. Select AAU was one of the most consistent and efficient players in the gym throughout the entire day. When she shot the ball from deep, she usually made the shot attempt and it didn’t matter if she was wide open or contested. She was always ready to let it fly and she hit most of her deep shots while doing so. When she was over-played she simply went by the defend and got all the way to the rim. She did that off the bounce and with some cutting action when her defender fell asleep within the half court. Defensively, she held her own at the Guard spot. Her active hands and quick feet helped her take advantage of some situations, which usually led to some buckets in transition going the other way. All in all, what a showing from Hunter. I’m not sure if she will get the Varsity nod as an 8th grader this Winter but if so – she is going to be really fun to watch.

If you are looking for a prospect that plays the game the right way and someone that everyone loves to have on their team then you should look towards Rylie Hunter of Cedar Falls and Lady Martin Bros. Select. Hunter was a constant throughout this event. She would show up every few possessions making a positive play on either side of the ball. Offensively, when she needed to, she scored it. When she had to create for others, she got down-hill off a quick first step and made it happen. Defensively, she did a good job of moving her feet and beating her matchup to their spot down the floor each possession. I keep telling everyone to watch out for Cedar Falls the next few years. Their young hoopers are very, very talented and Hunter is apart of that group.
