Cardy delivered a strong performance on both ends. She finished well inside and used solid box outs to help control the glass from the guard position. The Senior stepped out and hit the three with confidence as well. She also showed skill by getting to two feet and then lifting into a smooth one-leg fadeaway jumper for one of the cleanest scores on the day.

just announced via social media that she will be competing this last high school season at a prep school out of Florida. King was Westview High School’s top dawg from a year ago. If we know anything about this prospect, we know that King makes a difference with her play-style, no matter what floor she is on. It doesn’t matter if that’s high school or on the road against some tough competition. With this move, I think King could make the most of it and become even better than she was before. She will be playing with more diverse prospects around her and that is going to help her get better in her off-time when they practice and compete. We will continue to keep tabs on King over the next eight months. As long as she gets in front of the right eyes, she should be committed to compete at the next level before you know it.

One of the biggest stock-risers that the state of Nebraska has seen this past six months is SG/CG,

of Westview. King is someone that makes it happen. She has the “it” factor and that has been evident for awhile now. It doesn’t matter if her time, space, or situation is limited. She usually makes it work and she usually makes it look easy. Most recently King received an offer from Hasting College and Iowa Western. These are a few more opportunities to add to her pile that is continuing to stack. I don’t have a beat on where McCardyn might land but whoever is getting her, is getting someone with a high motor and a lot of future potential.

Westview made big waves this Winter in some of their contests by playing sound defense, aggressive offense, and having an overall great game plan from the scouting report. The player that led that charge is CG – Cardy King. King would be labeled more as an off-guard than anything else but she can also dish it out to open teammates at a higher rate than most as well so I think it’s safe to say she can switch it up as a CG. There were multiple contests this Winter when King went off to lead her team to victory. She was getting to the rim at Will off the dribble, finishing her takes with extreme body control in the air. She was pushing the pace in transition and finishing through contact consistently, and she led everyone around her with passion. There was never a lack of emotion or anything like that. You always know when King is feeling it and that’s not a bad thing. This is someone that jumped up a bunch of stops in this Update so now it’s time to see how she responds this AAU season with her Nebraska Attack program.

Cardy King ended up being named the Player Of The Game from the local news source that was in the crowd last night because of her 14 point scoring performance. In a contest that ended 57-52 after free throws, to score 14 is major. No other way to put it but it wasn’t just that she scored 14, it’s how she scored 14. King helped orchestrate success on both ends. She was a constant at attacking the zone when on offense, while being someone that demonstrated active hands/feet on defense, helping her record some turnovers here and there. This is someone that has been a leader all Winter long. When you look at the team stats, King is all over the books with positive statistics and I’m sure that is something that is going to be constant moving into the future as well.
