Lemorande has had a stop-and-go career at the high school level due to a knee injury prior to her sophomore season. However, since returning in her junior season, the Bay Port wing has been the most threatening perimeter shooter in the state, and I don’t think it’s particularly close. Lemorande is a player who can get her shot up quickly and run off screens away from the ball to get looks at the basket. She may also be the best primarily off-ball player in the state this season. Lemorande is the only player in the Top Ten to choose to play at the Division 2 level in college and play her basketball next season at Maryville University in the St. Louis area in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

There isn’t a talent like Lemorande in her class. She’s at her best as a non-ball dominant guard or wing and maybe the best kid I’ve seen at using screens away from the ball. Lemorande wants to constantly move away from the ball and find open pockets of space to get her shot off, and she doesn’t need much room. Watching her operate in Bay Port’s offense is aesthetically pleasing when they’re rolling.

A breakout season for Lemorande is a year overdue. She was poised for a breakout following an excellent summer a few years ago and was one of the best off-the-ball players I’ve seen in Wisconsin. Lemorande utilizes off-ball screens better than anyone. The Bay Port native’s ability to rise over defenders and knock down shots off the catch means you pay special attention to her, or she’ll hurt defenses in volume. She got more comfortable as the AAU season went on, and her confidence seemed to return as the summer went on. She’s been ready to get on the floor for Bay Port for a while. Lemorande may force some stuff early, but she wants to compete.
