Expert Analysis

The second part of the Garden City duo that impressed against some of the bigger schools in Oklahoma. Hannagan is a great example of not judging a book by its cover. As while short, she has incredible deep range, with a pure jumper. Must be accounted for when off the ball, and with the ball she’s in range shortly after crossing halfcourt. Against an athletic and tall Union team, she hit three triples from 25+ feet. A blast to watch and is one of the top shooters in this region.

Hannagan has an elite level ability to set up use of high ball screens, adjusting her decision to how defenses react. With her low dribble, strong handles court vision and passing ability she knows how to get the ball to teammates to make plays. Because she is arguably the greatest shooter in the 2028 class her ability to work in the half court makes her especially dangerous. Hannagan has consistent 35′ range and will shoot it from anywhere off the dribble up, dribble moves, spot ups and more. Off the dribble she is a smart scorer, using a variety of shots to score over or around defenders. Defensively, she has quick hands and solid off ball vision to generate turnovers. Despite the lack of league and state recognition Hannagan consistently drew face guarding game after game.

The 5-1 Buffaloes have themselves one of the top point guards in the class. An elite shooter with parking lot range she is averaging 13 points, 4 assists and 2 turnovers. Very experienced with high level competition she hung 5 threes on Altus (OK) and hit a game winning three to overcome a 2 point deficit to Palmer Ridge (CO). Comments from other media sites trumpet what I have known for a couple years – strong handles to create space, quick trigger and finishing ability off the bounce. Having grown up practicing with many former Gameball D I, D II and Juco D I talents she hit the ground running familiar with HS game speed.
