is an athletic guard who brought energy and explosiveness to the floor every time I watched her play this summer, and I watched her a lot. Competing with WKE, she consistently showcased her elite speed and quickness, making her a dangerous weapon in transition. It didn’t matter if it was pushing the ball after a rebound or filling a lane on the fast break; she thrived in up-tempo situations and put pressure on defenses from start to finish. Beyond her athleticism, she also improved her perimeter shooting throughout the year, knocking down shots from range with confidence. This gave her the ability to stretch the floor and keep defenders honest, adding another layer to her already dynamic game. With her athletic tools and continued development as a shooter, putting herself in position for a big year ahead and is definitely a name to keep on your radar.

sprinted through the Southwest Finale with her speed and confident shooting. Not surprisingly, she was a blur in transition, she used her quickness to push the tempo and create offense in the open floor. It wasn’t just her speed that stood out; her shooting range was equally impressive. She knocked down shots from deep with consistency, stretching the defense and forcing opponents to guard her well beyond the arc. Whether spotting up or pulling up off the dribble, Powers proved she can be a serious threat from long distance. Her speed-shooting combo makes her a dangerous weapon in any lineup.

is a name to circle for anyone tracking emerging talent in Southwest Kansas. Still, early in her high school career, Powers is flying under the radar—but that won’t last long. She brings a mature skill set, a high basketball IQ, and a competitive mindset that already stands out at the varsity level. She plays with control and confidence beyond her years. She’s a smooth ball handler who can run the offense or slide off the ball to score. Because she’s young and competing in a deep 6A region, it’s easy for her to get overlooked—but don’t make that mistake.

Thaylee is a standout basketball athlete with elite speed and two-way impact. In particular, her quickness makes her a major threat in transition. She consistently pushes the ball up the floor with control and is tough to catch. Defensively, her speed not only helps her jump passing lanes but also allows her to create turnovers. Furthermore, she applies constant pressure on the ball, disrupting the opposing offense. However, she isn’t just fast—she’s also a skilled shooter. She can hit from beyond the arc, drive to the basket, and finish with confidence. Ultimately, her athleticism, shooting ability, and defensive instincts make her a dynamic, high-upside guard with tremendous potential.
